Wake up and play!
You have lived in mundane moods ..
A sad and automatic life
And then you complain of greying cells
And the melancholy of repeat modes.
Years have passed by
And you don’t seem to laugh or play
It’s only a mindless passing of day.
You speak of preambles of truth
And make assertions of ” holier than thou”
Yet…the innocence and simple joy
Has long left the corpse of you.
When will you go outside
To walk barefoot and kiss the earth?
To be cooled by the shade of large trees
And the sounds of tweeting birds?
To bow to the powering sun,
To lie on your back and watch the blue sky?
And retreat and rest
Unto the peeping crevice
Of the sieved gentle moon
That will heal and embalm your tired soul.
Without this drenching in grace
You will remain forever parched and dry!
You have slept enough..
Now Wake up and play!
