The sacred homage.
I came to thee… Soiled and broken,
A muddle head of confusions,
A spring of sorrow.
Happiness was in jeopardy,
And life, a torment to bear.
My beliefs were contaminated,
And my heart in turmoil.
Your presence soothed,
And anointed my wounds.
Now I knew, not all was in vain.
Like tiny dew drops that fell on the parch,
I absorbed and sipped gently on this elixir.
Rejuvenation came in showers sometimes,
And at other as realizations that ached.
All I welcomed as your divine grace.
The cells sparkling,
The eyes dancing,
I landed on your doorstep, new and alive.
Who would know what had changed
Other than you who had started this all.
In silence and in your words,
The weary soul revived to love.
How you managed to hear the whispers,
That hardly had escaped from my heart.
The goosebumps of awe,
the tears of gratitude,
The pangs of devotion,
The offerings of realizations,
The climax of actions,
And the perils of transformation,
All these, I offer at your feet.
I know not what to do with these treasures,
That spill out of me at every contact.
Allow me pride, at least a while
To be worthy of being your blessed and loved.
-MUSINGS OF THE AWAKENING SOUL.
