“ Radhe tu bad bhagini, kaun tapasya keen?
Teen lok taaran tarana soh tere aadheen!”
Radhe.. how blessed you are, what tapasya did you do?
That the redeemer of the three worlds is subservient to you!”
- Neem Karoli Baba to Sri Siddhi Maa

The devotee’s apaar bhakti is also the grace of the Lord alone. Only when the mind is disenchanted with the world does it turn towards God! And with Guru’s grace when it happens spontaneously and subtly, it is the biggest gift of the Guru. The depth of a bhakta’s devotion soon becomes self amplifying and larger than his own identity to fuse with the Guru’s own light. They become one truth, one flame!
Reading about the life and matchless devotion of Sri Siddhi Maa towards saakshaat Hanuman avatar, Sri Neem Karoli Baba has been a humbling experience for me. Also the way that Baba himself pointed disciples towards her when they needed the shade of the Divine mother is so beautiful. He often told bhaktaas who came for him…” Jao Mai se milo! Wo Jagat Janani hai!”

Her steadfast devotion is exemplified through many incidences in her long life of 89 years which were impossible to walk without Baba always holding her hand. She faced many challenges in travel, life and building temples and doing Baba’s work but she always retained that unmoving faith that Baba would always make all her karyas reach fructition as she was merely the instrument of her Guru’s work.
Her mother like karuna and soft space made everyone feel at ease and nourished with her love and special care. Benevolent in her nature and yet firm minded to do her Guru’s work, Sri Siddhi Maa clearly represents the perfect archetype of a devotee who transformed herself into Baba himself. Like Baba, she enabled many lives to find the shade of peace and love. She even played instrumental roles to make many Hanuman Temples in dedication to Baba.

The duo of Jivanti Maa & Siddhi Maa is the example of a true spiritual friendship and care. What siddhi maa was to Jivanti Maa, Baba was to Siddhi Maa! Jivanti Maa followed Siddhi Maa’s footsteps and cared deeply to provide care to Maa for long years of their association. The nishta of both Maai’s comes as a special blessing of Maharaj ji!
Paying special attention to always organize Bhandaaras to feed everyone as Maharaj ji always willed, Sri Siddhi Maa continued to give darshans to all alike even after Baba’s passing. She continued the flow of prem and karuna through her vessel as she had completely merged herself in the sewa of the Guru.
May all realize the beauty of such Bhakti!
Jai Ram ji ki!
Jai Hanuman!
