As you age and move through deeper into life, you begin to see that the truth is singular and yet has the binaries of paradox within it. As you read the best spiritual teachings, listen to the masters and even have your own tiny glimpses of the truth, you begin to see that they hold the opposite spectrums into a singular phenomenon.
For e.g Enlightenment is both slow and in the moment. Kindness and wisdom grow on you gradually while you may have flashes of divine illuminations too. You slowly become the most ordinary human and also transform into the enlightened Buddha both at once.
Eg 2. You need to be still and dynamic both at once. If you become too still, you will become lazy and apathetic and if you become too dynamic then you may loose your peace and centre of quiet. So you can be and are both and that’s just fine.
So essentially as you see the paradoxes of truth lay themselves bare to you, you will have to make a choice whether to see things as they are or you can choose to have a lopsided bias towards one end of truths spectrum. If you genuinely want to be free, then the bias will have to let go. Without emotion, you will have to simply observe and know rather than believe and push. As you see the effortless embrace and acceptance of truths paradoxes, you will find yourself becoming free and joyful. Liberated from the conditionings of how things ought to be and yet how they actually are.
Embrace the paradox!
