Lalitasahasranama Seies verse162
“ANTAR MUKHA SAMARADHYA…BAHIR MUKHA SUDURLABHA” :VERSE 162 LALITASAHASRANAMA
This verse from Lalitasahasranama is a pointer towards inspiring the saadhak to elevate himself from the external ritualistic practice towards the inner dhyana (meditation)and constant Simran ( remembrance) of the Shakti consciousness as one’s own self.
Caught in the trap of the external ritualistic practices and seeking her through mere conditioned learning from shastras and kriyas, one can easily forget the bhava behind the whole endeavor. This verse reminds us that the Goddess is accessible to the one who remains focussed within and retains his attention on her like a constant unwavering faith. she remains unknown to the one who does many external acts of offerings but has not learned to look within. Just like a woman who holds a pitcher of water on her head and still has all her attention on her child as she walks with it, careful not to ever leave her child’s hand, our constant attention on MOTHER DIVINE is our only easy and sure way to attain her grace.
Saadhna prepares us for this stage where we can train and groom ourselves to be blissfully and eternally ever engaged in the dhyana . That is the way the tool of sadhana can help us attain the inner effaced state of the self.
Let us consistently walk and keep preparing ourselves through the sadhanas to arrive at this state.
