IGNORANT DEVOTION

I lack the etiquette of devotion,
And am ignorant in intellectual grasping.
I cannot chant your hymns in perfection
And offer not the naivedyams.
Sometimes I even forget to remember you
When I am angry, disgusted and disappointed.
I do not prostrate at your feet daily,
Neither do I know the nyasas and mudras.
My slumber is deep and my buddhi unevolved,
My stoburness and ego are primal in nature.
In my ignorance, I forget the attitude of gratitude
And also default in the discipline of saadhna.

But they tell me you are very benevolent, caring and forgiving
As you are the Mother Divine.
They tell me you are “karunamayi”.
And the mother forgives her child again and again, never failing to nourish and care.
This world has the formalities of immaculate equality & piquant rituals.
So am I to follow the same ways with you?
Or will you just love me simply ………JUST LIKE THAT
Will you just hold the bruised heart yet
That has not yet learnt.. even devotion?
