A HAPPIER ME.
I come to you
draped in shadows of grey,
that percolate their roots deep.
You talk about colors,
I am nostalgic about their past presence.
Happiness happened eons away,
You claim every appearing moment to be a joy.
I sing looney tunes,
You are bliss in the sheer symphony.
The darks are all I have known,
You narrate dreams of scintillating lights.
I stand still amidst the autumn,
you are the cherries and maples of spring.
I am a nonbeliever in relationships,
You endorse and affirm our eternal connections,
you forgive, correct and bless.
I know not optimum reciprocation,
My only offerings are my tears.
Is gratefulness only an asset of the brave and the capable?
or worth has a weight to it?
Drenched in your surmounting compassion,
my soul hangs loosely and merrily
within a zone of fearlessness,
freedom and gaiety.
I leave with a lighter step,
humming a happy tune.
now, I ought to get used
to a HAPPIER ME…
-MUSINGS OF THE AWAKENING SOUL.
