We often read the lives of great creative artists and geniuses and discover that beneath the glamour of name, fame and recognition, there flows a damp melancholy undercurrent of an unfulfilled quest.
One can wonder with awe as to how such insightful minds and sensitive hearts can be afflicted with chronic periods of un named sorrow and perennial grief but it is indeed true that these seasons add on to manifest their creative masterpieces. All genuine creativity has a tinge of indifference to itself. The pangs of loneliness and the disappointed longing for the truth is a spark for the poet, artist and writer.. Through the darkness, he sees his own light and somewhere at the pinnacle of his grief, he becomes an empty channel fractured by grace. It is then and thus that a masterpiece emerges out of him.
They remind us to honor our pain..accept it in all totality. Not pushing it under the carpet and wearing cloaks of worldly identities of perfection and peace. Our storms are our own..Our love is our own. Go ahead and live them out fully. Do not be ashamed to be broken..The archetype of the healed whole and happy human is a cult of conditioned minds. True and honest humans are raw, broken and bruised.
Live it out!
